The Challenge
Many women have a brilliant business idea but never take the first step. Research shows that while 64% of women in their 40s and 50s have had a solid business concept, 78% never act on it. Launched in 2023, Enterprising ME was designed to bridge this gap, removing the barriers of cost, location, and confidence that hold women back and providing a clear, supportive path for every aspiring founder.
Our REsponse
89DE built Enterprising ME as a free digital platform of inspiration, resources and community. At its centre is Carla, an AI business mentor that offers tailored guidance regardless of where a woman lives or what she can pay. The platform pairs expert-led masterclasses and toolkits with real founder stories and an active online community, and convened the panel behind the Decadal Plan.
Enterprising ME has built a vibrant community of 36,000 women and over 14,000 social media followers, delivering more than 3,300 workshops, toolkits, and masterclasses. Its content inspires an average of 1.2 million people monthly on social media and 1.1 million through media channels. In 2024, its 12-member expert panel delivered the Decadal Plan, a bold ten-year roadmap to transform the landscape for women’s entrepreneurship in Australia.
