A research project to gain insights into the financial literacy, mindsets, and wellbeing of Millennials and Gen Zs. 

Commissioned on behalf of Afterpay, 89 Degrees East partnered with YLab – the social enterprise arm of the Foundation for Young Australians – to conduct qualitative and quantitative research. 

The report profiles the effects of COVID-19 on the financial wellbeing of young Australians, changing behaviours among them, the shift to a savvy and thrifty approach to spending and saving, and the financial knowledge gaps Millennials and Gen Zs are seeking help to fill.
